EVENT: February 24th - A Conversation For Progress With Author Eitan Hersh
Join us on Wednesday, February 24th at 10:00 am for our next Conversation For Progress featuring political scientist Eitan Hersh on his book, Politics Is for Power: How to Move Beyond Political Hobbyism, Take Action, and Make Real Change.
Last month’s Conversation For Progress, built off of our inaugural report on school segregation, touched on a wide range of issues, and touched off many questions about what the Commonwealth’s citizens can do about it. As Massachusetts plans for pandemic recovery and a host of elections, we do so with myriad urgent issues to address. How can we and elected leaders move beyond rhetoric to real solutions to serious challenges?
One of our country’s most creative thinkers on how to do this is Tufts political science Professor Eitan Hersh. An expert on elections, civic participation, and voting rights, his newest book has changed the national discourse and been featured in the New York Times, The Atlantic, FiveThirtyEight, Politico, and The Boston Globe.
You can read his perspective on citizens taking action to make real change in the New York Times and The Atlantic, and listen to him discussing his influential new book with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, Ezra Klein, or On the Media’s Brooke Gladstone - and you can join him in a Conversation For Progress at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 24th.
We hope to see you there!
