EVENT: Jan 26th - Perspectives on School Segregation in Massachusetts
Policy For Progress in partnership with MassINC present:
Please join us on Tuesday, January 26th for a virtual event to discuss the problem of school segregation in Massachusetts. The event will review findings from Policy For Progress’ inaugural report. Spotlighted in the Boston Globe as a lead Ideas feature, Commonwealth Fault Lines: District Boundaries, Public Perception, and School Segregation in Massachusetts examines the history and data behind Massachusetts’ highly segregated school districts, as well as public perceptions of the issue.
This report presents the stark lines that separate school districts, and the misalignment between Massachusetts public perception, values, and reality. To fully understand the challenges of school segregation and possible solutions requires additional research and the inclusion of many perspectives. With this virtual discussion, we hope to advance the conversation on this critical topic.
Please stay tuned in the coming weeks for panelist announcements.
We hope to see you there!
